Kenny Summit’s first New York City gig came when he was just 16 years old, playing alongside Moby, DJ Keoki and Deee-Lite’s Super DJ Dimitry at Peter Gatien’s infamous nightclub, The Limelight. Kenny's unique ability to span musical genres from house and hip hop to rock and electro spread quickly, thrusting him into the global DJ spotlight, spinning high-profile events such as the VH1 Fashion Awards, after parties for the Grammy's and movie premieres galore. This new found worldwide notoriety landed him gigs playing alongside Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Frankie Knuckles, Black Eyed Peas, Moby and many more.Credited as being one of the founding fathers of “mash-up”, Kenny Summit's music production, crowd moving abilities and expansive style have made him one of the most sought after DJ’s in today's highly competitive music scene. Since his landmark debut almost two decades ago, Kenny has gone on to spin at the most exclusive events around the world for clients ranging from Ralph Lauren, Versace, Vogue, Gucci, Sports Illustrated, Oprah Winfrey, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, P Diddy, the Royal family of Dubai and even the last four United States Presidents.
2009 was a momentous year with Kenny’s release of the One Night in St. Tropez mix compilation on #1 house label, Ultra Records. Followed up by the One Night in St. Tropez World Tour and more than a few noteworthy performances at the biggest festivals in the US and Europe. 2010 is set to be Kenny’s best year to date, with the recent release of a highly acclaimed remix featured on the new Scion CD and soon to be released tracks with Scott Wozniak (Defected Records) and Grammy winner Eric Kupper to name just a few of Kenny’s upcoming collaborations.
